Pho Van invites you to discover some of the finest selections of the authentic Northern Vietnamese cuisine. Truly inspired by the long Vietnamese history of war, the fight for freedom had gave birth to a specialty dish known as Pho (Vietnamese Soup Noodles). Pho has existed over a hundred years and today it is recognized as the national dish of Vietnam. The dish had captured the fascination of many people including culinary experts because of the deceptive simplicity yet complex flavors. Pho Van takes pride in replicating and preserving the original Pho Bac (Pho of the North) after 7 years of research. Today the restaurant is successful in serving an authentic bowl of Pho Bac outside Vietnam. The intensive process requires 18 hours of simmering broth and ingredients have to be added at the right time to achieve the rich complex flavors. Phở Vân also takes on the role of protecting the secret recipe of the national dish as the number of good pho cook is decreasing.
